OB Wild III
Outer Banks Wild: A Winged Horse Extravaganze Pictoria Volumes I, II & III feature stunning photography of the winged horses by Steve Alterman and Tricia Ibelli.

Lynne Hoffman Foster and Linda Elizabeth Nunn embarked upon a project that has turned into an opus. A Hatteras Anthology is a collection of poetry, prose, photographs, artwork and even sheet music by nearly forty Hatteras Island women. In addition to being a valuable literary offering, A Hatteras Anthology is an art book as well, designed by Linda Lauby of Outer Banks Press, with color pages of lovely images throughout.

Arnold the Smiling Horse, by Karine Nguyen-Tuong, a schoolteacher in Charlottesville, Virginia is the story of a young horse that lives on Winged Horse Island. Born without wings, Arnold goes searching for his wings and for answers to his many questions. Through his travels, he learns that one of his special qualities will take him as far as his wings would, if not farther. Arnold the Smiling Horse is a tender story that touches the adult as much as the child. In these times of war and dissention, it is wonderful as well as reassuring to be reminded of the power of the smile.

No child should visit the Outer Banks without a copy of My Beach Vacation Journal, written during Hurricane Isabel by Melissa (Missy) Lamb, and charmingly illustrated by her four children. This little book will keep your kids busy, beginning with "About Me," and ending with story-inspiring questions and an address book for recording information on new friends. There are questions to answer on each day of vacation and plenty of room for notes. My Beach Vacation Journal is the perfect answer to "what I did on my summer vacation."

Meet "Nice Kitty's" less-than-courageous crew and join in on a high-seas adventure with Captain Stumpy the Pirate Cat as he confronts his arch-rival, Fluff Bucket, with surprising results.
Created by father-and-son team Herbert and Jeremy Bliven, this beautifully illustrated seafaring tale delightfully embodies the spirit of cooperation.
